The room prices vary, depending upon a single or double occupancy.  Regardless, please call or write, we will ensure that your needs are met, at a confortable price that you can afford.

  • Fort Saphrey is owned and operated by Olin L. Saphrey, Captain, US Army, Retired..DOD Personnel (Military and Civilians) will receive a 25% discount.  All senior citizens receive a 10% discount.
  • If you will be living at Fort Saphrey for a while, feel free to use the laundry facility for a nominal fee, or ask us about our laundry services.
  • For inexpensive transportation to and from Roatan/to and from the mainland of Honduras, you may use the ferry which travels to and from Roatan twice a day.

Fort Saphrey is located at the end of the main road in West End, Roatan....Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands and is located approximately 35 miles off the North Coat of Honduras.  Honduras is located in Central America and has borders with Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.

 

Honduras is an hour and forty minutes flight from Miami, FL.  To enter Honduras and or Roatan, you are required to have a valid passport.  Roatan is home to an international airport.  Delta, American, Continental, Taca and Aero Honduras all fly to Roatan in conjunction with local carriers.  Currently, Taca, Continental and delta fly direct weekly flights to Roatan from the US.
